Project Name: New Durante Arredamenti Store in Motta di Livenza (TV)
Typology: architectural design
Client: Durante Arredamenti
Our design of this new store for Durante Arredamenti focused on creating a building that is recognisable and legible from moving vehicles.
The new Durante store is located along a suburban road, in the midst of other commercial and industrial buildings. The need to ensure recognisability led us to study architecture in movement and ways to attract the attention of people driving along the road.
The façade is characterised by three organ-pipe windows, with a large window on the upper level and a long asymmetrical window on the ground floor: sober elements that reflect the client’s personality. The resulting hierarchy of divisions gives the building a highly recognisable appearance.
Inside, the stair is the first thing visitors encounter upon entering the store. It is rendered exceptionally light by the absence of vertical supports and a glass parapet, which also frames the mezzanine level. The design of the interiors respects the dynamics of an ideal commercial route, offering customers an immediate view of the entire sales and display area.
